First of all, let me thank ~TheAslan ~ Link below!
He originally gave me the idea and pointed me to an old skin that he wanted modified. Thank you very much!!
So for the specs:
THE SETTINGS AND THE TIMER TOGGLE SO YOU DON'T ACTUALLY SEE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN YOU HIT THE SET BUTTON IT WILL BRING UP THE SET TAB, AS SHOWN IN THE LOWER PART OF THE PREVIEW. AND WHEN YOU HIT (OK) IN THE SET TAB IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TOGGLE BACK TO THE COUNTDOWN TAB, AS SHOWN IN THE TOP PART OF THE PREVIEW!
This is a timer that counts down from the set time. You can go up to 100 hours with this.
There are Start, Stop, Reset, and Set buttons.
Setting is easy. Just use the plus-minus symbols for each:
Hour, Minutes, Seconds!
The beautiful thing about this skin is that it is totally customizable. The old skin was filled with PNG's. I have removed all the PNG's and have replaced them with text. Even so there is still button like action. You can change the fonts and colors to anything you so desire.
Just be warned: IF YOU CHOOSE TO CHANGE THE FONT YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE THE POSITIONS OF THE DIGITS AND BUTTONS. THIS SKIN WAS MADE USING Eurostile LT ExtendedTwo FONT WHICH IS INCLUDED WITH THE SKIN. ANY OTHER FONT WILL CHANGE THE LAYOUT.
Also, there is a .wav file for the Set Time Done alert. The default is:
C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Countdown\Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - Doobie Snacks.wav
You can change this also. Just make sure that it looks like this when you change it. It must be a .wav file and it would be a good idea if you put a copy of the .wav file in your Countdown skin folder. Here is an example of how it should look in the .ini file:
ath to sound files AlarmBeforeSound=C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Countdown\Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - Doobie Snacks.wav
;EndTimeSound=C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Countdown\Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - Doobie Snacks.wav
EndTimeSound=C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Countdown\Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back - Doobie Snacks.wav
Ok now let me say this, before I even ask this let me say, I know it's a stupid question ^.^;
Ok, so I'm trying to just get a simple timer counting down to election and you said you don't mind questions... so.. how do I get this to work on my profile da page? I'm pretty stupid (or very for that matter) when it comes to HTML and even when reading through all of the image description.. I still don't know what I'm doing :/
I'm not sure you are going to be able to get it to work on a webpage. This skin was designed for Rainmeter which is a desktop application. All the coding in the skin and the program work off the information on your system.
And I have no thoughts or knowledge on how to be able to get it to work on a webpage. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
OH! O.O I saw people talking about that.. and I wasn't sure.
It's fine! I'm glad you told me, I can pretty much throw out that there is going to be an easy way to get a countdown on my da page so I can quite searching for hours on end xD. ^.^ Thanks.
nice timer. i need one to do 30 minute paintings. every time i restart PC it sets back to 5 minutes. how do i change that? can't find it inside the code.
Listen, is there any way to make this a repeat timer, like for workouts? Basically I want to be able to set a time, have it count down, sound the alarm, and restart with the set time without me having to press start again. I've been looking for something that can do this for rainmeter for quite a while, and while it seems like it should be easy to do, I don't know how.
Very useful skin. thank you. I am waiting for a new GTX 570 Graphics card which should arrive in 3 days. Only thing is a bug i noticed is that when i set the timer the text where it says SET/OK... Is on top of etch other... uhm let me refrase, the OK button does not disappear. Could you maybe look it over and see if you can fix it, thanks.
@NailHead86 Commenting out the "MouseLeaveAction" line in sections "[MeterTimerSet2]" and "[MeterSettingClose2]" seems to solve the problem. I haven't seen any side effects.
